Demon Rhythm is an endurance painting project in which Micah Rustichelli has committed to completing 1000 paintings in an attempt to quantify artistic labour against artificial image output. The images are taken from what is supplied by the artist's Instagram news feed.

These 1000 paintings are intended to be used to train an Ai image generator which mimics Rustichelli's work.

Phase One of Demon Rhythm is due for completion in January 2024. This involves completing the first 500 paintings of the project, Premiering at Brunswick Street Gallery as part of Midsumma Festival, Jan 27-Feb11
