A Body Which Draws Itself is a project which challenges and consolidates the relationship between the artist, their body and the sense of self.

The first iteration of this work focusses on balance, painting with both arms attached to a pulley system which required a mirror-like response from one side of my body whenever the other side of it created a mark. The exploration into right vs. left brain information processing, paired with the limited functional movement leads to a resulting work that is figurative, measured and proportioned by the artists capacity to reach the surface.
